"Good Omens" Mini-Series

Shooting continues on the Amazon/BBC, six-part TV mini-series adaptation of "Good Omens", directed by Douglas Mackinnon ("Outlander"), based on the novel by authors Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, with the casting of Emmy-winning actor Jon Hamm, aka 'Don Draper' in "Mad Men" as the 'Archangel Gabriel' :

"...'Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch' (1990) is a comedy about the coming of the 'End Times'.

"This comes as bad news to the angel 'Aziraphale', former guardian of the 'Eastern Gate of Eden' and the demon 'Crowley', aka 'Crawly', the serpent who tempted 'Eve' to eat the apple. As the representatives of 'Heaven' and 'Hell', they have both become used to living their cozy, comfortable lives and have taken a liking to humanity.

"As good friends, they work together to keep an eye on the son of the devil, destined to be the son of a prominent American diplomat stationed in Britain..."

"I read 'Good Omens' almost twenty years ago" said Hamm. "I thought it was one of the funniest, coolest books I’d ever read. It was also, obviously, unfilmable. Two months ago Neil sent me the scripts, and I knew I had to be in it."

"Good Omens" will launch globally on 'Amazon Prime Video' in over 200 countries and territories in 2019 including in the UK, where it will also air on BBC Two.
