According to new reports writer/producer James Cameron, has set "Deadpool" director Tim Miller to resurrect "The Terminator", with Skydance producer David Ellison undertaking an 'exploratory effort', engaging science fiction authors including "Terminator" concept creator Harlan Ellison "to find the movie creatively...":
Ellison alleged that James Cameron's film "The Terminator" drew material from "Soldier" (1964), an episode of the original "Outer Limits", based on Ellison's 1957 short story "Soldier From Tomorrow".
Production company Hemdale and distributor Orion Pictures, settled with Ellison out of court for an undisclosed sum, adding a tail credit to "The Terminator", acknowledging Ellison's 'contribution'.
