'Spidey' Movie Spin-Offs

"We are going to access Marvel's full world of 'Spider-Man' characters", said Sony Pictures Entertainment Co-Chairman Amy Pascal, "so be on the lookout for new heroes and villains", including live-action versions of Marvel Comics' "Black Cat", "Kraven The Hunter", "The Vulture", "Venom", "Silver Sable", "Morbius", "Cloak and Dagger" and "Carnage":

'Black Cat' is a reformed burglar who continues to walk on the wild side as a detective and adventurer.

She's the former girlfriend of 'Spider-Man'.

'Kraven The Hunter' ('Sergei Kravinoff') a Russian immigrant and son of an aristocrat, is a maniacal big game hunter who seeks to defeat Spider-Man to prove that he is the greatest hunter in the world. Unlike other hunters, he typically disdains the use of guns or bow and arrows, preferring to take down large dangerous animals with his bare hands.

He also lives by a code of honor of sorts, choosing to hunt his game fairly, though he does use a mystical serum to give him similar strength to Spider-Man.

'The Vulture', (Adrian Toomes) is a former electronics engineer who created a harness that allows him to fly, directed by a pair of wings worn on his arms. He turned to crime professionally as the Vulture.

'Venom', aka the 'Venom Symbiote' is a sentient alien, with a liquid-like form that requires a host, usually human, to bond with for its survival.

'Silver Sable' ('Silver Sablinova') is a female mercenary, hunter of war criminals, the leader of the 'Wild Pack' and CEO of 'Silver Sable International'.

Her methods and motives have brought her into conflict with other superheroes.

'Morbius',('The Living Vampire') aka scientist 'Dr. Michael Morbius Ph.D., was a tragically flawed human suffering from vampiric abilities resulting from scientific rather than supernatural means.

"Cloak and Dagger",aka 'Ty Johnson' and 'Tandy Bowen' first met in New York City as runaways. When Tandy accepted an offer of shelter from some strange men, a wary Tyrone went along to protect her.

The two teens were soon forcibly delivered to a criminal chemist named Simon Marshall, who was developing a new synthetic heroin, testing it on the teens, turning them into superpowered beings.

'Carnage' ('Cletus Kasady') is a crazed villain also bonded to the alien 'symbiote' that merged with his bloodstream.
